Brune family papers
The collection consists mainly of letters written by or to members of the Brune family of Baltimore. The letters date roughly from 1831 to 1897. The majority of the letters concern family and personal matters rather than business affairs.
Brune-Randall family papers
The Brune-Randall Family Papers includes papers relating to 68 members of this extensive Baltimore family. The bulk of the papers are those of 6 individuals: Frederick W. Brune (1813-78), his wife Emily [Barton] Brune (1826-1908); their daughter Susan Katharine [Brune] Randall (1860-1937), her husband Blanchard Randall (1856-1942), their daughter Elizabeth Blanchard [Randall] Slack (b. 1892) and her husband Harry Richmond Slack (1888-1957). The papers span the period 1782 to 1972.
Davenport photograph album
The Davenport photograph album contains 92 photographs of the Gray family. The images are primarily unidentified portraits showing the family in backyards, parks, and at the beach. Photographs are mostly undated, but appear to be from the 1920’s and 30’s.
Friedenwald family manuscript collection
This collection contains the correspondence of Moses and Jane Friedenwald to their family in Baltimore, Maryland. This primarily includes letters to Moses’ brother, Aaron Friedenwald, his wife Bertha, and their son Harry. Moses’ poor health dominates the earlier letters, in which he and Jane provide in-depth descriptions of his gallbladder and liver problems.
Helen West Stewart Ridgely papers
This collection contains the incoming correspondence of Helen West Stewart Ridgely. The letters are largely from her grandmother, mother, sister, brother, husband and children. The letters detail the life of a Baltimore society matron in the late 19th century and especially reveal child rearing practices.
James Lewis photograph collection
This collection contains photographs of the Lewis family of Baltimore, circa 1890-1925. Images include East Baltimore neighborhoods, portraits and group portraits, and baseball teams, as well as rural and city views.
McFee photograph collection
This collection includes photographs taken or collected by Eugene Gwynn McFee, staff photographer for the Baltimore American, 1913-1919. The images reveal everyday life in Baltimore, the effects of World War I on soldiers, recreational activities, and Woodrow Wilson's funeral, among others. The dates of the collection span 1900-1930.
Ridgely family papers
This collection consists of the papers pertaining to the Ridgely family of Hampden in Baltimore, Maryland, from 1757 to 1949.
Ridgely-Stewart papers
This collection consists of scrapbooks, notebooks, diaries, and family papers created or collected by L. Josephine Moulton Stewart and her daughter Helen West Stewart Ridgely. Topics covered include: "Hampton," Moulton, Stewart and Ridgely families, child rearing, and the Colonial Dames of America.
Spafford family papers
